Welcome

The annual “Music in the Garden” season is set to begin soon at the Old Rectory Gardens in Wavendon. Fifteen superb concerts will be held in the home of Dame Cleo Laine and the Late Sir John Dankworth, adjacent to the Stables theatre.

The First concert, part of the “Jazz On A Summers Day” series which runs every Saturday morning at 11.30 during this season – kicks off on Saturday 19th June. The “Fiery Festival Finale” closes the series on Sunday 17th July.

Music in the Garden has become an established, and well loved tradition just outside Britain’s newest city in one of its oldest counties. The gardens are beautiful and provide a wonderful backdrop to first class music. We hope for glorious sunshine, but a canopy protects in the event of rain.

This blog will follow the series and provide Information and background to the 2010 “Music in the Garden”. Further details of the series – and bookings can be accessed here.
